Dreamy, Romantic Florals for an Intimate Wedding in Historic East Nashville

Photography by John Myers Photography

When Kelsey and Dillon reached out, I knew right away it was going to be something special. Their intimate ceremony would be set at Estelle in East Nashville and I couldn’t wait to bring their vision to life. With complete creative freedom and only one request—a base of white flowers with a pop of brown to complement the bridesmaids’ dresses—this day turned out to be an absolute floral dream.

The first flower that came to mind was a toffee rose—a perfect, warm brown tone to tie everything together. I layered in golden mustard, quicksand, and cappuccino roses for depth, while more airy, white blooms like lisianthus, larkspur, and astrantia brought in texture and balance. I kept the shapes organic to create a sense of movement, making sure the florals felt effortless and natural, just as I imagined Kelsey and Dillon’s love story to be.

Kelsey, being petite, chose a small bouquet that was delicate but impactful—just like her. The size was perfect, and it paired beautifully with the bridesmaids' bouquets, which perfectly complemented their dresses. Dillon’s boutonniere featured a cappuccino spray rose and was the perfect accompaniment to Kelsey’s bouquet.

But the real showstoppers were the floral installations at the venue’s entrance. They complemented Estelle’s architecture and existing decor while perfectly framing Kelsey and Dillon. It really elevated the moment, giving the ceremony a romantic, lighter-than-air feeling.

Every little detail felt intentional, from the florals to the ceremony itself, especially when Kelsey and Dillon walked down the aisle as loved ones tossed white rose petals over their heads— quite the picture-perfect moment.

The florals really only served to highlight the intimate, down-to-earth elegance that defined Kelsey and Dillon’s wedding. It was all about love, connection, and celebration—something simple yet profoundly beautiful. It was such a highlight of the fall season for Mason and Loretta, and we were lucky to work alongside our favorite planning team, Ad Astra Events. Together, we helped create a day that felt uniquely them.

Kelsey and Dillon were a joy to work with and couldn’t have offered higher praise: “Chelsea was extremely warm and approachable. She made the whole process fun and easy! I’m not really into flowers, but these completely blew me away. Chelsea somehow came up with a design and colors that I didn’t even know I’d fall in love with. The flowers were unexpectedly one of my favorite things about my wedding!”

In the end, it’s moments like these—where the florals become part of a much bigger picture—that make my work so incredibly rewarding. Kelsey and Dillon’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that when everything comes together—vision, design, and love—it’s magic!
